Tucker Sowell

Tucker Sowell is a cellist and contractor in the DFW Area, offering his unique skillset as a performing musician and congressional Outreach Coordinator to DFW Musicians Services. As a former congressional staffer for U.S. Representative Kay Granger, Tucker brings  array of event-planning experience as Operations Manager.

 

As a cellist, Tucker has performed with the East Texas Symphony, Monroe Symphony, and in numerous festivals and conventions in Texas and Europe.

Tucker was inspired to begin his contracting career while in Washington D.C., having witnessed firsthand Rep. Granger’s involvement in the planning of the National Fourth of July and Memorial Day celebrations on the National Mall.

 

Tucker holds degrees in Cello Performance and Political Science from the University of North Texas. At UNT, he was a student of Nikola Nino Ružević and was the recipient of the UNT College of Music’s prestigious Excellence in Chamber Music award. He was also named a “North Texas in D.C.” fellow from UNT’s College of Political Science.
